Sriracha Hummus Chicken Wings Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup hummus (such as Sabra Classic hummus)
  • 1/4 cup sriracha
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 2lbs chicken wings (assorted drumettes and flats)
  • Sabra Farmer’s Ranch Greek Yogurt Dip for dipping (optional)

Instructions

  1. Combine the hummus, sriracha, lime juice and salt in a medium bowl and mix well.
  2. Toss in the chicken wings and coat evenly with the mixture.
  3. Heat your oven to 425 degrees and line a large rimmed baking sheet with foil.
  4. Lay the wings in an even layer and bake for 25-30 minutes or until the wings are cooked through and crispy.
  5. Transfer to a serving tray and serve with Sabra Famer’s Ranch Greek Yogurt Dip

Sticky Sriracha-Honey Chicken Wings Recipe

Ingredients

  • 10 chicken wings, split to create 20 wings (10 mini drumsticks, 10 winglets)
for the glaze
  • 4 tablespoons honey (I used Melissa’s orange blossom honey)
  • 2-3 tablespoons sriracha
  • juice of 1 lemon
  • 4 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon chili jam/peach chutney

Instructions

  1. Pre-heat the oven to 200°c.
  2. Combine all the glaze ingredients in a bowl and mix well.
  3. Add the chicken wings and allow to marinate for 10 minutes.
  4. Place the marinated chicken wings on a greased baking tray in a single layer and spoon a little of the glaze over each wing.
  5. Place in the oven and allow to bake for 20-25 minutes.
  6. In the meanwhile, place the remaining glaze in a microwaveable bowl and microwave for 2-3 minutes until the glaze is hot and thickened slightly.
  7. Half way through baking, turn the wings and baste them with the remaining glaze.
  8. When the wings are cooked through and sticky, remove from the oven and allow to cool for 5 minutes before serving.

Spicy Orange Chicken Wings Recipe

Ingredients:

• 2 ½ pounds organic chicken drumettes (or wings)
• 2 tablespoons soy sauce
• 3 cloves garlic, pressed through garlic press
• 1 teaspoon freshly grated ginger
• Simple Orange Chicken Sauce (recipe below)
• Sesame seeds, for garnish
• Scallions, for garnish

Instructions:

-Place the drumettes (and wings, if using) into a large bowl, and mix together thoroughly with the soy sauce, the garlic, and the ginger; marinate for at least 2 hours, or for best flavor results, overnight.

-Preheat the oven to 450°, and line a baking sheet with foil, and top with a rack if you have one; place the chicken pieces evenly onto the rack with some space between them (if you don’t have a rack, place directly onto the foil in a single layer), and bake on the center/lower rack of the oven for 28 minutes.

-After 28 minutes, turn the broiler on high, and broil for 2 minutes until crispy, and charred golden-brown; toss the wings in the Spicy Orange Chicken Sauce to coat, then sprinkle over some sesame seeds and scallions, and serve while hot.

Spicy Orange Chicken Sauce Ingredients:

• 1/4 cup soy sauce
• 1/4 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
• 1/4 cup plus 1tablespoon honey
• 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
• 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
• 3 cloves garlic, pressed through garlic press
• 1/2 teaspoon freshly grated ginger
• 1 tablespoon cornstarch

Preparation:

-Add all ingredients into a small saucepan and whisk to completely blend and dissolve the cornstarch; place over medium heat and bring to a simmer, whisking occasionally, until glossy and thickened; remove from heat and allow to slightly cool before tossing the wings in the sauce.

Glazed Teriyaki Chicken Wings Recipe

Ingredients

  • 3 pounds chicken wings
  • salt and pepper to season
  • 1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds optional for garnish
  • 3 tbsp chopped green onions optional for garnish
For the Teriyaki Sauce
  • 3 cloves minced garlic
  • 3 tbsp peanut oil
  • ½ cup soy sauce, preferably reduced salt soy sauce
  • 1 cup water
  • ½ cup honey
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp five spice powder or cinnamon
  • 2 tsp toasted sesame oil
  • 4 tbsp rice wine vinegar or apple cider vinegar
  • 1 ounce piece fresh ginger very finely grated freezing ginger makes it easier to grate
  • ½ tsp freshly ground black pepper

Instructions

To make the Teriyaki Sauce
  1. Add the garlic and peanut oil to a small saucepan.
  2. Saute over medium low heat for just a minute until the garlic is softened but not browned.
  3. Add the soy sauce, water, honey, brown sugar, five spice powder, toasted sesame oil, rice wine vinegar, ginger and black pepper.
  4. Simmer for about 5 minutes before adding a thickening slurry of a mixture of ¼ cup cold water and 1½ tbsp corn starch.

  5. Simmer for an additional minute and remove from the stove.
To cook the wings
  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
  2. Cut any wing tips off if present and split the chicken wings into 2 pieces each (drummies and flats)
  3. Lay the pieces in a single layer on a parchment paper covered baking sheet.
  4. Lightly season with salt and pepper.
  5. Bake, uncovered for 30 minutes at 425 degrees F, then reduce the heat to 375 degrees F.
  6. Turn the chicken wing pieces over and, using a teaspoon, begin to baste each wing piece with a little of the teriyaki sauce. (Be careful not to actually touch the chicken wing with the spoon because you don’t want to cross contaminate any leftover sauce which you can use again later.)
  7. Return the wings to the oven for 10 minutes, then glaze and turn them again. Bake for an additional 10 minutes. If you have large wing pieces, gaze for a 3rd time.
  8. Serve immediately with toasted sesame seeds and chopped green onions for garnish if you like.

Brown Sugar Dijon Chicken Wings Recipe

Ingredients

  • 3 – 4 lbs chicken wings, cut in pieces, tips removed
  • salt and pepper to season
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup Dijon mustard
  • 3 tbsp water

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Season the wing pieces with salt and pepper and bake on a parchment lined cookie sheet for about 35 minutes, turning once during the cooking time.
  3. Combine the dijon mustard, brown sugar and water in a small saucepan and bring to a slow simmer until the brown sugar is completely dissolved.
  4. Brush the glaze onto the partially cooked wings about every ten minutes, turning them each time.
  5. Repeat the glazing 3 to 4 times so that the wings are well coated and sticky.
  6. Serve immediately.

Chili Lime Chicken Wings Recipe

Ingredients

  • 3 lbs chicken wings, washed, cut and trimmed
For the coating
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoons freshly grated nutmeg
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 2 tsp kosher salt
  • 1 tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 tbsp ground ginger
For the egg wash
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 tbsp milk
For the Chili Lime Sticky Glaze
  • 1 clove minced garlic
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ cup honey
  • finely chopped zest of one lime
  • juice of 2 limes
  • 1 tsp crushed chili paste (or chili flakes) more or less to taste.
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. lbs chicken wings, washed, cut and trimmed
  2. Mix together well, the flour, nutmeg, cayenne pepper, salt, black pepper, and ginger.
  3. Dip the chicken wings into an egg wash made from whisking together the eggs and milk.
  4. Dredge the egg washed wings in the flour mixture and drop them in a canola oil filled and preheated 375 degree F deep fryer for about 10-12 minutes depending upon the size of the wings until a medium golden brown and fully cooked through. You can use a meat thermometer to ensure that the chicken is at least 180 degrees F at the center.
  5. Drain on a wire rack placed on a cookie sheet. Hold in a 175 degree oven if making more than one batch.
To prepare the Chili Lime Sticky Glaze
  1. In a small saucepan over medium heat, add the oil and garlic.
  2. Saute for a minute to soften the garlic, then add the honey, lime zest and juice, chili paste, salt and pepper.
  3. Simmer together for about 5-10 minutes.
  4. Transfer the cooked chicken wings into a large bowl and pour the hot glaze over the wings. Toss well to cover all of the wings in glaze. Garnish with grated lime zest and chives if desired.

Sweet and Spicy Chicken Wings Recipe

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup hot chili pepper sauce (or your favorite hot sauce)
  • 4 pounds bone-in chicken wings, thawed*

INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Whisk together first three ingredients. Set aside.
  • Place wings on grill over low, direct heat. Grill 15 minutes per side, then baste chicken with sauce, turn, and continue to baste until done, and desired crispness, color, coverage is reached.

Instant Pot Sweet Chili Chicken Wings Recipe

Ingredients

  • Instant Pot Duo
  • Pack Chicken Wings
  • 1Tbsp Olive Oil
  • 2Tbsp Honey
  • 1Tsp Chilli Powder
  • 1Tsp Garlic Puree
  • ½ Tsp Nutmeg
  • 1Tsp Parsley
  • Salt & Pepper

 Instructions

  1. Mix together all your ingredients (apart from the chicken) in a mixing bowl.
  2. Keep your chicken wings in their packaging and season them with salt and pepper making sure the chicken skin is well seasoned.
  3. Place the chicken wings into the marinade and mix well with your hands.
  4. Place the chicken wings into a big piece of silver foil and wrap it tightly.
  5. Place the necessary 180ml of water into the bottom of your Instant Pot, place the steaming shelf on top and then the silver foil packet on top of this.
  6. Put the lid on the Instant Pot and turn the valve to sealing. Press manual for 10 minutes and allow it to build up pressure.
  7. Once it beeps allow it to cool down for 5 minutes before you serve it.
  8. Once cool remove the chicken wings from the silver foil and place into a serving dish ready for the two of you to eat.

Honey Miso Chicken Wings Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 lbs chicken wingettes and drumettes
  • Salt
  • Ground black pepper
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1-inch piece ginger, peeled and minced
  • 3 tablespoons white miso
  • 3 tablespoon mirin (sweet cooking wine)
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • White sesame

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 400F.
  2. Clean and rinse the chicken wings, pat with paper towels. Season with some salt and ground black pepper.
  3. In a bowl, combine the garlic, ginger, miso, mirin, honey, soy sauce, and sesame oil together. Whisk it to form a smooth and slightly watering marinade. Marinate the chicken with the miso mixture for 2 hours.
  4. Arrange the marinated chicken wings on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Shake off the excess marinade. Bake for 20 minutes or until the surface is golden brown. Turn over to the other side and bake for 10 minutes. Remove from oven, garnish with white sesame and serve immediately.

Garlic Pepper Chicken Wings Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 3 lbs chicken party wings
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 1/2 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon seasoning salt
  • 1/4 cup canola oil
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon distilled vinegar
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons fresh cracked black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil. Set aside.
  2. In a bowl whisk together egg and milk. In a resealable plastic bag combine flour and seasoning salt. Dip wings in egg mixture then transfer to plastic bag and shake to coat. Transfer to a plate and allow to set for 15 minutes.
  3. Place chicken wings on prepared baking sheet. Drizzle with canola oil. Bake in preheated oven for 20 minutes. Turn and cook for another 15 – 20 minutes or until browned and cooked through.
  4. Meanwhile, heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add in minced garlic and cook just until fragrant, 30 seconds to 1 minute. Remove from heat, add in white wine vinegar, pepper, kosher salt and garlic powder.
  5. Once wings are cooked, use tongs to transfer hot wings to bowl with garlic pepper mixture. Toss to coat. Serve hot.

Don’t forget the wet naps, despite the fact that they are missing the traditional red sauce, these can be quite messy. Or maybe its just when you pick up the left over garlic pieces with your fingers like I have a tendency to do.
